ALT Technologies BV is pleased to announce that ALT Mexico has obtained the new IATF 16949:2016 Certificate.

IATF 16949:2016 is the International Standard for Automotive Quality Management Systems.

The document is an automotive quality system requirement based on ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements from the automotive sector.

IATF 16949 emphasizes the development of a process-oriented quality management system that provides for continual improvement, defect prevention, and reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. The goal is to meet customer requirements efficiently and effectively.

The IATF is a group of automotive manufacturers and their respective trade associations; formed to provide improved quality products to automotive customers worldwide.

ALT MX began with a formal structure in June 2018 with the purpose of extending the supplying capacities to the America’s growing markets. With the challenge of starting operations at the beginning of 2019, efforts were focused on the implementation of the Quality Management System with the objective to comply with international standards ISO: 9001 and IATF16949, as well as meet the requirements of our Automotive customers.

At the beginning of 2019 after an extensive on-site audit, the IATF Compliance Letter was granted. This confirmed that the ALT MX Quality Management System reached the required operative standards of the Automotive Industry.

Now in 2020, after a year of dedicated work and a strict on-site audit, the definitive Certification is granted by IATF. All ALT plants worldwide have thus achieved working under international Automotive Industry standards. This certification was achieved following a rigorous review process that examined components deemed critical to meet the Automotive requirements and standards.

The IATF 16949:2016 Certification highlights our commitment to our customers and, just as importantly, to their success. The certification complements ALT Technologies strategic plans and goals, and reflects the organization’s dedication to continuous improvement; especially the innovative work of all our faculty and staff involved.
